Sanofi (Hangzhou) Phase III Photovoltaic Project (Including FM-Certified Rooftop System)

Congratulations on the successful grid connection and power generation of the Sanofi (Hangzhou) Phase III Photovoltaic Project in 2025!

With a total installed capacity of 829 kWp, this project represents the third phase of Sanofi’s Hangzhou plant’s “zero-carbon puzzle.” To date, Kuneng New Energy has completed all three phases of the project, totaling 1.44 MWp. The system is expected to generate approximately 1.45 million kWh of green electricity annually, with a cumulative output of 13.8 million kWh over 25 years. This will result in a cumulative reduction of approximately 29,600 metric tons of carbon emissions and save approximately 11,400 metric tons of standard coal. The project utilizes the FM Global-certified SSM2 flexible roof system, featuring 120 psf wind uplift resistance, Class A fire rating, and Class 4 hail resistance. Hot-air welding ensures zero perforation and zero structural damage, providing pharmaceutical-grade safety assurance for the facility.

Our company was fully responsible for all project phases, including planning, construction, and commissioning, strictly adhering to industry standards and FM Global’s most stringent specifications to ensure high-quality and efficient project delivery. We thank Sanofi (Hangzhou) for their trust and support, and look forward to continuing our collaboration to jointly advance green and low-carbon development in the pharmaceutical industry.

As a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, Sanofi (Hangzhou) upholds the highest quality standards across all aspects of R&D, production, and supply chain operations. This Phase III photovoltaic project not only provides stable, clean energy for the formulation workshop, R&D laboratories, and cold chain warehouses but also demonstrates the company’s firm commitment to industrial green transformation and carbon-neutral production.
